In this tutorial we are going to show you how to install dotProject manually. But before you start, there are few thing you should prepare. First create a MySQL database using your cPanel > MySQL Database Wizard. As a second step download the dotProject files from their official website at:
https://www.dotproject.net/
Extract the archive and upload its files somewhere in your account. To access the site using https://yourdomain.com/ you must upload the files in the public_html folder of the account. You may upload the files using an FTP client like FileZilla. You may check our video FTP tutorials at:

Once you have uploaded the files, access:
https://yourdomain.com/install/
This will bring up the dotProject installation page:
Click the “Start installation” button to proceed to the next page. Next enter your database details that you created earlier:
Database Name
Database User Name
Database User Password
Then click the “install db & write cfg”. That’s it. You have successfully installed dotProject. To access the admin area of the project manager use:
Username: admin
Password: passwd
