SMF Mods and Packages installation

 

SMF has a package manager that can install modification packages through an easy to use, one click installation system. You can upload the mod package through the package manager and install and uninstall the mod whenever you want.

 

In order to do so, you should go to the "Administration Center" and there to find the "Packages" link:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you click on it, you will be taken to the Packages administration center. There you can install, uninstall, enable and disable particular mods, previously downloaded from:

 

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/

 

Pick a package that you like and want to have on your forum and download it on your computer. There you should choose the "Browse packages" option and wait for the page to load:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you do so, you will have to "Browse" again for the file on your computer using the web interface that SMF provides.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you choose the file from your computer, click "Upload" and your module will be installed successfully. As simple as this :) Enjoy your forum with its new module.
