Installing a new phpBB3 style

We will install the "Revolution" style on our test forum for the purpose of this tutorial. A big database of styles can be found at the phpBB3styles.net website.

As soon as you have your template downloaded, you have to upload it to your account. You must upload the files of your new style in a new folder under the directory "styles". In our example we make a folder "revolution" and upload the content in it. The following directories/files must be in it, if phpBB3 style is correct:

• contrib
• imageset
• template
• theme
• style.cfg

Having uploaded the files of the new style, you login to the Administration Control Panel. Now, click the tab "Styles".

Click on the link Install next to the new template - "Revolution".

Select the option "Make default style" on the new page and click the button [Submit].

Now, after clicking on the link "Board index" at the top right corner of your screen, you will see the newly installed template applied to your forum.
