Installing manually Drupal is rather easy -- there are few steps to follow and, voilla, you will be ready to go. Note, that if you decide to go with manual Drupal installation, you will not be able to upgrade it automatically via Fantastico.
1. So, the first step, of course, is to download the latest Drupal version. This can be done from its official website www.drupal.org. Once you obtain the package and have it downloaded on your computer, simply unpack it in a separate folder (on your Desktop, for example).
2. Now, it is time for uploading it via FTP to your TMDHosting.com account. It is also time for decision. If you would like to access your Drupal via www.yourdomain.com, you should upload its files to your public_html folder. Note that you should not have other applications installed there in order for this one to work. If you would like to access it via www.yourdomain.com/site, for example, you should create a folder named site, under you public_html, and upload Drupal files there.
3. Let's assume that the Drupal is now uploaded to your account. It is now time for the MySQL database creation. You should login at your cPanel, which is located at www.yourdomain.com/cpanel. There navigate to the MySQL database wizard menu.

Click on it and you will be redirected to the first step, which will require you to choose your database's name. Let's name it drupal.

The second step is to choose a username, which will be entitled to connect to this database. Let's name it drupal, too.

When you complete this step, a confirmation message as this one should be prompted:
Added user tmdhost_drupal with the password password123#$%.
You will be forwareded to the menu, where you should choose the privileges that the user we have just created will have for the database in question. Choose ALL PRIVILEGES.

Note that if your username is, for example, "tmdhost" all your databases and entitled users will be prefixed with it. For example, a database named drupal (like in our case study here), owned by user named tmdhost has actually a name tmdhost_drupal. The same goes for the user. A user named drupal, owned by account tmdhost will have the tmdhost_ prefix before -- tmdhost_drupal.
Write the username and the password you have just created. You are about to finish.
4. To launch the installation, you must access through your favorite browser the files you have uploaded previously. In case that you have uploaded them to public_html, point your browser to http://yourdomain.com. In case that you have placed the files in a subfolder, just access http://yourdomain.com/subfolder.
Once you do so, the Drupal installation will be launched. All you have to do now, is to input the above created MySQL username, password for it and, of course, the database name. Click the "Save configuration" button and your Drupal installation will be completed. You will be forwarded to a confirmation page, which will contain a link to your website.
5. The first thing you should do now is to create a new account - the first user is the super admin, so do this quickly. Click the "Create new account" link on the left of the page and put in a username and email address. Make sure the email is a real one because that is where you'll receive your password (however once in the account you can change it to whatever you desire).
