:nono:So I have a joomla site that I am developing (going well thank you.) I added a subdomain. I would like to have a secondary site which would reside in the subdomain. ie. our main site is www.asiapacificculturalcente.org and I will have a log on for educators and want them to be directed to education.asiapacificculturalcenter.org. Do I need to install another copy of joomla in the subdomain directory??? If not, do I just assign a template from within my main joomla administration access and assign it to the new subdomain?  THanks

(hmmm... doesn't seem to have much traffic on this forum...   confused4

Hello Phil,

The best idea in your case is to create a new subdomain with a new Joomla Installation.

As you know Joomla is a CMS application and every application has its own database (mysql).

In order to have different content (and possibly different modules, templates etc.) you have to install a new copy of it at the subdomain.

As for the forum - it is a new addition to the site and very few people write in it at the moment. Mostly the Support Team.

Hopefully, people will get used to it soon.
